A New Menu Item is being added to Illinois’ Iconic Restaurant
We can not wait to try this new mouth-watering menu item being added this summer to the menu at the most iconic restaurant chain in Illinois.
Portillo's is probably the most legendary thing in Illinois (besides the Chicago Bears) and apparently, they are adding a new menu item this summer! According to NBC Chicago Portillo's is adding a new burger to its legendary menu, on their site they say...
"The fast-casual restaurant chain will now offer a "Rodeo Burger," just in time for summer. The classic 1/3-pound char-broiled burger on a brioche bun topped with bacon, red onion, onion rings, melted American cheese and Portillo's "tangy BBQ sauce." The bacon is the newest element to the burger that has Portillo's telling customers to "saddle up." According to the company, it's a new, thicker and crispier bacon."
If you don't know Portillo's then you are missing out! People say it's "Touristy" and yes, tourists should go there, but so should everyone who ever lived! Sadly, we here in Quincy have to go all the way to Springfield for Portillo's but their menu is worth it. Things I would recommend to eat at Portillo's include the Jumbo Chicago Style Hot Dog, the Char Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, the Italian Beef, the Full Slab of Ribs, and of course save room for the best dessert in all of Illinois the Chocolate Cake Shake.
The new Rodeo burger is already on their online menu and it looks quite delicious, I don't usually order a burger from Portillo's but next time I am there I think I have to try this new menu addition, to see the menu for yourself click here!
