Tired of dealing with snow already? Never fear. According to the weather "experts", the Hannibal, Missouri/Quincy, Illinois area are gonna feel like summer by the end of the week.

As I drove through snow flurries Monday morning, I could feel my soul sighing at the thought of the winter months ahead. But, one look at the National Weather Service in St. Louis for what the end of our week will look like put a smile on my face. Check this out and be prepared to smile yourself. Pay special attention to Thursday.

The National Weather Service says this about Thursday in case you can't read the small print:

Partly sunny, with a high near 60.

Yee haw. Friday won't be bad either with highs around 50-ish. The fun won't last long as we'll settle back into the 40's over the weekend. There's a chance we could see a thunderstorm over the weekend. Imagine that in December. The end of 2022 really won't be bad though with sunshine on New Years Day (or at least that's the prediction) with highs between 40 and 50.

Since this is weather we're talking about, things can change in a heartbeat, but right now looks like 2022 is gonna go out in fine sunny and somewhat warm fashion.
