Here are two words that rarely go together: homes and affordability. There are still many towns in Missouri, however, where you can still find a decent place to live without breaking the bank.

It's difficult to make any definitive statement about the state of the housing market in Missouri since home prices constantly change depending on supply and demand and numerous other economic factors. I can say from my own family's experience that qualifying to purchase a house in Missouri is like exposing your life to a body cavity search. (Sorry for that visual) It's confusing to me how you can pay rent for years that's higher than most mortgage payments for a nicer place, but so many still don't qualify to be home owners.
