Golf Ball-Sized Hail, 70mph Winds Possible in Missouri & Illinois
It would be a good idea to keep an eye on the skies in Missouri and Illinois Sunday as storms are forecast to move through both states bringing with them golf ball-sized hail, 70mph winds and even a few tornadoes.
The National Weather Service says that Sunday could be a wild one for our skies in Missouri and Illinois. This graphic was shared on their weather story today explaining what is expected and what is possible.
It looks like the most likely time for thunderstorm development starts around 3p Sunday afternoon.
A tornado destroyed much of Baring, Missouri on Friday night and has officially been rated an EF-2 by the National Weather Service.
Storms today have the potential to produce more tornadoes like this one. Make sure to pay attention to weather warnings especially likely beginning Sunday afternoon as these storm systems make their way through Missouri and Illinois.
