Food Network Says Iowa’s Best BBQ is this Place Full of Trophies
When you do something in your life and get a trophy, that's a pretty good sign that you're doing it well. If that's really true, Food Network may be right about the best place in Iowa to get BBQ as their walls are lined with shiny awards.
Food Network recently listed their "Best Barbeque Joints in Every State" list and for Iowa it's Smokey D's BBQ in Des Moines. You might recall this was one of the stops for Guy Fieri a few years ago.
The video description says they have "three full smokers turning out brisket, ribs and more around the clock". Sign me up for that. I saw on their official website that they now have 2 different locations in Des Moines - their main location and one at the skywalk.
By the way, if you check out the Smokey D's Facebook page, you'll see a pic of a sumptuous BBQ burrito. Very nice. That means my two favorite food groups are covered in one dish. BBQ and burritos for the win.
You can check out the full Food Network list of best BBQ joints around America. I have never met a BBQ that I haven't loved and now Smokey D's is high on the list for a potential road trip someday.
