Five Reasons I’m Thankful To Be From Quincy
As we get closer to Thanksgiving, I'm reminded of everything I have to be thankful for. Family, friends, a loving home, and a job are all very good reasons to be thankful. But one thing I'm definitely thankful for is being able to live and work in Quincy. Here are a few reasons why...
- 1
It's a Community of Caring
No matter what the cause, Quincy is a community that supports each other through the good times and the bad. If there is a fundraiser to fight cancer, we show up. If there's a benefit for young children, we show up. If there's a rally for a cause in the Square, we show up. Quincy is a community of caring for one another.

We Support Local Education
Because of the support we give our teachers and staff at Quincy Public Schools, Quincy will soon be home to five new elementary schools. No matter what the cause, Quincyans are always ready to support children in the community.

You Won't Break The Bank Living Here

Our Parks Are Incredible
We have some of the most gorgeous parks in the state of Illinois. We have an incredible park district and there's always something going on. And with so many parks in town, you're bound to find one you love (just like I did).

It's A Great Place To Raise A Family
Hard to argue this. You really get that small town feel in Quincy. It truly is a great place to settle down and raise a family.]
