First Public Event Planned in Kansas City
For the first time in 10-months, there will be a public event taking place at the T-Mobile Venue in Kansas City, Missouri.
Disney on Ice - Dream Big will be the first public event to take place in the venue since March (the last event to take place was the first two rounds of the BIG 12 Basketball Tournament). Tickets are on sale now, but seating will be very different. According to KMBC.com,
“Seating capacity for Disney on Ice performances at T-Mobile Center will be reduced in accordance with guidelines from local public health officials including utilizing a Pod Seating structure,” the ticket website said.
Masks must be worn at all times while at the event for guest 2 and older unless eating or drinking. The Disney Show will include ice skating from some of Disney’s biggest movies including Moana, Frozen, Coco and more. The show will run from January 28 through February 7.
Seeing this gives me hope that more shows, concerts, and events will be coming in 2021. They may look different with masks having to be worn at all times, and audience capacity at a certain limit, but this gives me hope that we are starting to get back to some normalcy for next year. I have taken the girls to several Disney on Ice shows in both Kansas City and St. Louis and they are truly magical. If you ever get the chance to see a show you will not be disappointed. If there is once show that brings magic, it’s a Disney on Ice show.
Fingers-crossed this is the first of many good things to come in the new year.
