I have found video proof that you should never underestimate the ability of Illinois people when it comes to ice sculpting. Some truly gifted people who know how to do incredible things with snow and ice obviously live here.

Cave People from Space, a trio of teachers with Rockford roots, won the 36th annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition at Sinnissippi Park in Rockford.
It's hard to believe how some of these teams came up with these kind of mad ninja-like ice sculpting skills.
If you look at the detail in some of these creations, the detail is incredible.
