Can We Talk About Those New QU Football Helmets?

If you happened to catch WGEM’s excellent story about the upcoming Quincy University football season (it’s RIGHT HERE if you didn’t), then you’re familiar with all of the changes in store for the 2017 season. New head coach, reorganized coaching staff, new facilities, and of course a new recruiting class.

And that’s all great and everything, but can we talk about one more seemingly overlooked aspect of the upcoming season?

THOSE HELMETS LOOK FREAKING SICK!!

(Sidenote: “sick” means “good”, right?) Just look at that two-tone fade between the iconic brown and gold! And the metallic QU decal and player number are sharp touches too. Gotta say, I like ‘em!

Might be time to update my mini-helmet on my desk, I suppose.

The Hawks kick off their season August 31 down in Wichita Falls, Texas. Their home opener is scheduled for September 9 against Alderson Braddus. The season includes three home night games as well (9/16 vs. Lincoln, 10/7 vs. William Jewell, and 10/28 vs. Truman).
