The Keokuk Area Convention and Tourism Bureau will be hosting the 35th Annual Bald Eagle Appreciation Days this Saturday and Sunday. The main portion of this free event will be held indoors Saturday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from 10 to 4 at the River City Mall.

The Bald Eagle Appreciation Days will feature the World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis putting on live raptors shows, free seminars on preventing or dealing with Mosquito and Tick bites, the Iowa State University Insect Zoo and Naturalist's displays featuring the recovery of the Monarch Butterfly. The event will also involve Children's Pioneer Games as well.

In addition you can view Bald Eagles in their natural habitat on the Mississippi River at both Victory Park and the South Side Boat Club in Keokuk on Saturday and Sunday fro 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
