Once again, Arts Quincy is helping the American Red Cross along with the Quincy Community Theatre and The Quincy Noon Kiwanis to host the "Bleeding Arts" Blood Drive.

The blood drive will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 1 pm - 6 pm at The Atrium Hotel on Third (located at 201 S. 3rd Street in Quincy). Due to the COVID vaccines and testing site at the Oakley-Lindsay Center, the move of the blood drive is to have a safe place to donate blood for those in need, and not be in the way of the COVID vaccinations.

According to Laura Sievert, Arts Quincy Executive Director,

“Our team is ranked in the top one percent out of 46,000 teams in the nation!” Sievert said. “This partnership between the American Red Cross, Arts Quincy, Quincy Community Theatre and Quincy Noon Kiwanis gives the creative community a chance to help patients receive the lifesaving blood they urgently need. For each blood donation, you can save up to three lives!”

If you would like to give blood on Feb. 10, you are required to make an appointment by going to redcrossblood.org. You can then download the donor card to your cell phone and the "rapid pass" to help save you time during your appointment.

Donors will receive a sweet treat too. How does an individual sized Angel Food Cake from Underbrink’s Bakery sound? Not bad for donating blood and helping to save a life. If you would like more information about the upcoming blood drive or to make an appointment visit redcrossblood.org or call Arts Quincy at 217-222-3432.
