Rejoice, Missouri Really is About to Become a Massive Video Game
It was only a matter of time when you think about it. The state we all know as Missouri is about to get its own digital version. It's true that Missouri is about to become a video game.
Imagine a Missouri that you can drive across without any concerns for breaking traffic rules and getting a ticket. That will be possible soon as a video game featuring Missouri will be available soon. The game is actually already available, but the Missouri part will be downloadable content.
This is what Missouri will look like in American Truck Simulator by SCS Software. This is how the Missouri state capitol looks like in Jefferson City in the video game.
That's the view on Washington Street in Jefferson City looking toward the capitol building. Compare that to real life and you'll see it's very similar.
Not bad, huh? SCS Software actually sends teams out to scout locations before they build them in the game. You'll see real Missouri sights as you drive your truck around the map. This is the view from the bridge.
I'm not an expert at many things in life, but American Truck Simulator is one of them. This is my Steam account showing that I've logged more than 1,000 hours in the game over the past 10 years.
There's no exact release date for the Missouri map in American Truck Simulator as of this writing, but it's close. I'll obviously shout it from the rooftops once it's available to drive in.
