A hand-drawn portrait of your pet will look fabulous on your wall. It’s way more affordable than you think, and you’ll be helping Hannibal’s animal shelter at the same time.

Local artist Mark Wavering has offered his skills in a fundraiser for the Northeast Missouri Humane Society. Wavering will do a hand-drawn charcoal sketch of your pet with part of the proceeds going to the shelter.

You see here a sample of Wavering’s work. It’s amazing! And what really blows me away is the price he is asking for these portraits.

You have three options to choose from:

Package A: $35  Includes an 11x17 portrait, framed and matted, with two duplicate prints

Package B:  $25  Includes laminated 11x7 portrait with two duplicate prints

Package C:  $20  Includes 8 1/2x11 laminated portrait with two duplicate prints

All you need to do is visit the 2bestiesbiscuits.com website. You’ll submit a clear picture of your pet—a cat, dog, iguana, a fish—it doesn’t matter as long as its just one animal and not a group photo. Email your picture to 2021petportrait@gmail.com. The Humane Society gets half the proceeds from each portrait ordered.

The NEMO Humane Society is building a new shelter on Veteran’s Road in Hannibal. It should be ready late this spring.
