I have a sixth sense that can normally detect new rollercoasters in Missouri and Illinois. Somehow it failed me...until now. I've learned of a new mountain coaster in the Missouri Ozarks and it really flies.

If not for an article by Only In Your State, I might have completely overlooked the Copperhead Mountain Coaster at Shepherd of the Hills near Branson and that would have been a shame. It was just opened this summer and it looks like it's a blast.

One thing they've built into the Copperhead is the ability for a parent to ride with a child. That feature would be worth its weight in gold for a family like mine.

Recently, one of the roller coaster channels on YouTube shared a point-of-view video which shows what it's like to experience it first-person.

According to the official Shepherd of the Hills website, the alpine coaster will operate in all weather including snow. That should be fun. It also runs at night with LED's lit up for a wild experience and visual. This was what it looked like in October.

Since I consider myself a rollercoaster aficionado, I need to add this new experience to my to-do list. If it sounds like something you'd like to ride also, check out the official site for prices, updates and info.
