Missouri has sadly seen its share of powerful tornadoes over the years, but one recent twister stands out because of something unusual it did. As it tore through a Missouri town, it crunched two SUV's together into one twisted ball of metal.

One of storm chasing's most famous personalities, Reed Timmer, just shared a new video of a chase that he and his team made through the southern part of Missouri back in March where they encountered two monster tornadoes.

You can watch Reed Timmer's chase of that tornado and another on his YouTube channel.

As a follow-up to that chase, he then shared a photo on Facebook and other social media taken by storm chaser Jordan Hall which showed 2 SUV's that were crumpled together by the EF-3 tornado. The National Weather Service shared the track map which showed where this Missouri tornado did its damage.

This tornado touched down as an almost-instant EF3 and maintained most of that force for over 35 miles based on what the National Weather Service survey teams discovered. The entwined SUV's were only a small part of the overall damage that twister brought about including 4 injuries and 3 deaths with peak winds of 145 mph.

Hard to believe that we're just now entering peak tornado season in Missouri as there have already been dozens of tragic events already this Spring. Let's hope the worst is not still yet to come.
