If you missed it, last night a car drove into The Abbey around midnight last night, according to our friends at WGEM (for the full story and photos click here!) The driver of the vehicle, a 25 year old Quincy man, was issued a DUI among other citations.

But despite the damage done The Abbey has announced on their Facebook page that they WILL in fact be open at their regular hours of 3pm today! Which is just fantastic news that we want to help share, so many restaurants and small businesses are still struggling coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Valentine's Day weekend is a big weekend for many of these businesses to make  money. The Abbey is such a staple restaurant here in Quincy that seeing the news about the accident last night was shocking, but what is not shocking is that the great ownership, management, and staff at The Abbey was able to patch up the building quickly and safely to not have to miss even a day of being open!

If you're still unsure of what your Valentine's Day weekend plans are, I can't recommend The Abbey highly enough! Fantastic and diverse menu of food, I've never been disappointed with anything I've tried there, great drinks, and an awesome staff will really make the night out fun. Whatever you end up doing for Valentine's Day weekend just be safe with this extreme cold, and if you can we here at KICK-FM always encourage supporting local!
