Have you ever watched the 1976 classic film Car Wash starring Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Antoine Fargas and thought to yourself, "Man, I should own a car wash." Maybe you have a storage unit filled with ill-gotten cash you need to launder. Who knows?! I don't. And I'm not here to judge. That's for an actual judge. But no matter what your reason for wanting to own a car wash, now's your chance.

That ugly as sin car wash at 28th and Broadway, right across from Wine On Broadway and Seno Formal Wear, is up for sale, and actually at a fairly reasonable price for a commercial building in a prime location, just $136,000. I may be the one who knocks on the door of Happel Realtors to take advantage of this opportunity.

According to the listing on the website, Happel Realtors Managing Broker Stephen Gramke says "Here is your chance to own a piece of iconic Quincy, the white car wash on Broadway! ... It was last used as a car wash but with C-2 Zoning and 52' of Broadway frontage, there are so many possibilities for this diamond in the rough." The property certainly has a lot to offer, I certainly wouldn't take any half measures in doing something with.

Personally, I'd definitely stick with the car wash. It's a largely cash business with generally low overhead, and everybody needs to wash their car. So let's say I had a product that was about 99% pure, meaning it sells at a premium price. And let's say it's less than legal, so I kinda need to hide this source of income. Boom, car wash, we're all set. We're good to go. Then I'd just have to warn other car wash proprietors to stay out of my territory.

This is the perfect way to have an A-1 day. Check out the photos below.
