Here's something that will almost certainly make you want to sort through the quarters in your pocket. Someone recently found a rare Illinois quarter that is worth more than 3,000 times its face value.

There is one 2003 Illinois quarter that is apparently worth $100,000 if it has a certain grade and flaw.

Please don't judge me, but my mother collected dolls when I was a kid. There were literally thousands in my room. What I didn't know is there may be others in Illinois that have rare versions of a Barbie that is worth thousands of dollars.

I envy those who find rare old coins and cash them in for small fortunes. That's not realistic for the rest of us though. However, did you know there are quarters that are only a couple of years old in Missouri that you could easily find and cash in for big bucks if they have certain errors? It's true and I'll show you.

I don't think I'm telling you something you don't know when I say that a penny is normally worth one cent. But, did you know that it's possible to find certain pennies in circulation in Missouri that could be worth 5 figures (or more)?

I've always thought of Pokémon cards as a fun hobby for kids. Apparently I was wrong as a man has been accused of stealing $12,000 worth of these cards from a Missouri business.

I don't recommend you do what I just did. I just completed an adventure where I've searched out some rare and often strange Missouri collectibles on Ebay and I have the pictures to prove it.
