Adams County residents donated 27,300 pounds of food on Saturday, May 9.

The National Association of Letter Carriers, assisted by United Way volunteers, collected the food, which was distributed to 12 Adams County food pantries. It is a lot of work for the mail carriers, but they all came together for a great cause and generated big results.

Adams County has seen an increase in the number of families that need extra help to maintain their financial stability. The food drive gives local food pantries a needed boost to help families fill the gap.
