The St. Louis County Police have captured a man who has been accused of doing horrible things to victims. They believe the crimes committed may indicate a serial rapist has been found not just in St. Louis County, but other areas also.

I saw this share by the St. Louis County Police on their Meta page today. They captured a 28-year-old man named Yahya Maly. He is a suspect that has been accused of many counts of rape. As of this writing, he is accused of raping five different women.

The report says that he allegedly met many of his victims through dating apps and used the name "John". The number of women in the St. Louis, Missouri area that have identified as victims has raised the concern that he may have committed similar crimes in other places he's lived. Those locations include the following as shared by St. Louis County Police:

  • Henrico County, Virginia (Lived there from at least 2013 to 2021)
  • Chicago, Illinois (Stayed there from January 12th, 2022 to February 12th, 2022)
  • Tucson, Arizona (Stayed there from December 3rd, 2022 to January 17th, 2023)
  • Minneapolis—St. Paul, Minnesota (Stayed there from January 27th, 2023 to February 25th, 2023)

Yahya Maly is being held on a $500,000 cash only bond. Authorities want to hear from you if you are aware of any other victims that this suspect may have attacked. Their hotline is 314-615-5400.
