13 Missouri Towns That Feel Magical in October

I can make a valid argument that few states in the country rival Missouri when the month of October begins. Many places in the state have epic Oktoberfest celebrations and the trees show off their colors, too.

I have always loved the Fall months in Missouri. There's nothing quite like driving down one of the roads near the Mississippi River when the leaves are turning in October. What a mental release! I think one reason why Missouri goes to another level in October is due to the rich German heritage in much of the state. Let's face it. There are few months out of the year better for those with a German background than October. I'm sure there are many who either live in or visit Hermann, Missouri every year that would agree.
