Baldner captured the Democratic nomination with a convincing victory over Brennan Hills and Troup won the Republican nomination with a slim victory over Paul Havermale in the primary election held back on February 23rd.  The two candidates have held several debates in the last few weeks leading up to tomorrow's consolidated election.

Baldner is currently an educator at Quincy University after a career in broadcast journalism .  Troup is a business manager in the financial profession.

The turnout for the primary election was a dismal 17% of the eligible voters.  The turnout just might decide this election.  The polls open tomorrow (Tuesday, April 6, 2021) at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Anyone in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast their vote.
