Adams County Coroner James Keller has identified the victim of an early morning fatal shooting as 12-year-old Rayshone D. Humphrey Jr. According to a report from WGEM, officers responded to the shooting scene in the 1100 block of North 5th Street between Cedar and Cherry Streets and found a boy that had been shot outside of a home. He was taken to Blessing Hospital and pronounced dead. Keller revealed an autopsy would be conducted on Sunday.

According to WGEM's report, Quincy Police Chief Rob Copley said they are investigating the shooting as a homicide and that this was not a random crime. Investigators currently have several leads and several names of possible suspects have come to police through their investigation.

KHQAis reporting that the Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers are offering a $1000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of the shooter involved.
