Quincy History Podcast
There is a new Podcast all about the Quincy and it's place in Historical events, here is what you need to know...
I am a huge history buff, I love learning about history, watching documentaries, reading about history, going to museums and everything else I can get my hands on. Since I moved to Quincy last year, from Chicago, one of the things I have tried to do is learn as much about Quincy and the Tri-State area to have a better understanding of the place I know call home. Well if you're a history buff like me, you're in luck, because there is a brand new podcast you got to check out!
"History Ago Go" is the name of the podcast launched by the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County, and it is available on Spotify, Google Podcast, and Apple Podcast. There is a new episode each week and so far they have covered topics from Stephen Douglas to World War 2, local historians like Reg Ankrom, Dr. Wendel Mauter, and Dr. Tim Jacobs are all guest speakers on this podcast, connecting Quincy and history. To learn more make sure you follow the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County on their Facebook page by clicking here!
This is right up my alley and I can't wait to dig into more and more of these episodes to be released. I hope they get into Quincy during prohibition, gangster ties, and of course Quincy's importance with the underground railroad. What do you want to hear on this podcast?
