Quincy University Athletics and Wine on Broadway have partnered to provide an enhanced game day experience at all Q.U. athletic events. Beginning with this Saturday afternoon’s football home-opener with Wayne State, fans 21 and older will have the option to purchase alcohol inside Q.U. Stadium at designated locations.

"The growing trend across the country with NCAA institutions has been to permit alcohol sales inside athletic venues," said Marty Bell, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. "We want to stress that our main objective is to provide an enhanced fan experience.  By doing this, we hope to drive revenue through increased attendance thus creating a more vibrant game day experience."

Until this year, the Great Lakes Valley Conference rescinded its long standing policy prohibiting the sale and/or consumption of alcohol at member institutions' athletic venues.

"Quincy University promotes responsible consumption of alcohol and we are staffed and prepared to ensure that principal is enforced," said Bell.  "We appreciate Wine on Broadway's willingness to support this initiative and approach and we look forward to seeing more fans at all of our Q.U. home games moving forward."

It is important for fans to know that no beverages of any kind will be permitted to enter the venue and no alcohol will be permitted to leave the venue once purchased inside.
