Presidential Doomsday Plane Flew Over Missouri, But It’s Fine
The world is a bit of a volatile place these days, but something happened today that shouldn't worry you even though it might. A Presidential Doomsday Plane flew over nearly the entire state of Missouri today, but it's completely fine. Probably.
A Boeing 747 E-4B is known as a "doomsday plane" because it is the president's command and control mechanism if ground control is limited or eliminated by an enemy strike or catastrophe. It's a long-range US Air Force plane that can stay in the air a long time and fly at high altitudes. Early Wednesday morning, a Boeing 747 E-4B took off from a base in Texas.
NY Prepper on YouTube noticed that one of these planes took a peculiar tour of Missouri after it took off from Texas, but I'm pretty sure I know what's going on.
If you look at it's direction, the E-4B doomsday plane was obviously making a beeline to Offutt Air Force Base in southeastern Nebraska which is the home base for much of the fleet. I've seen some well-intended friends share simply the flight path with no backstory and it appears like it should be something alarming when actually a flight path over Missouri is no big deal. Doesn't mean it couldn't be a big deal in the future, but it's not right now or so I hope.
So, if you see someone freaking out because they spotted a Doomsday Plane over Missouri today, now you know it's nothing to worry about - yet.
