As dining rooms reopen in Illinois, follow the golden rule...

Today Adams County and other parts of our Region 3 are able to reopen indoor dining as we officially move into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan. According to coronavirus.illinois.gov that means we here in Region 3 can have gatherings of up to 50 people, All outdoor recreation is allowed, Bars and Restaurants can be open with capacity limitations, all salons, barbershops, spas and health and fitness clubs open with capacity limits, and movie theaters are allowed to open back up!

This is obviously a very exciting time for many of the businesses that followed state guidelines and have been closed to indoor dining here in Illinois the past 2 months. And during this exciting time I think it is important to remember the "Golden Rule" as my dad still call it to this day, and that is to "Treat people the way YOU want to be treated"

Many of these businesses that are reopening their indoor dining, are doing so following the guidelines of the state, now whether you AGREE with the state guidelines or not isn't important to this message. If you choose to support local, which we always encourage, please show that support by following the guidelines those businesses ask you to follow. This is a difficult time for these businesses and it doesn't need to be made more difficult by us as customers not respecting their guidelines. Be patient and we can all get through this difficult period together. If you disagree with a business asking you to wear a mask or follow certain guidelines that is ok just let cooler heads prevail in these situations and maybe take your business to somewhere that aligns more with your current view.
