Damaging Winds Could Slam Missouri on Wednesday

It would be wise to literally tie down all loose objects if you live in Missouri on Wednesday as forecasters say a damaging wind event across the state is possible.

This advice isn't coming from me or storm chasers, but directly from the National Weather Service in St. Louis, Missouri

Since I have a simple mind, my specialty is dumbing down complicated explanations once they've been explained to me. The short version of this weather advisory that's just been shared by the National Weather Service in St. Louis is that a cold front will be moving across the middle of Missouri on Wednesday extending into Illinois because that's the way this happens most often. Thunderstorms are likely to start popping up in the middle of Wednesday afternoon. The first few might be strong supercells with damaging wind included. Later, the storms might appear in more of a straight line. The good news is there is not expected to be a tornado danger in these storms, but wind damage will very much be a thing.

I don't have a trampoline, but I do have a trash can and it loves to go airborne when big storms hit which is why I keep it hidden behind things the wind can't reach. If you have outside objects and you live in Missouri, might be a good idea to secure them before Wednesday afternoon storms roll through.
