I love this time of year in Missouri. The leaves are starting to change. The air will eventually get cooler (I hope) and squirrels begin building their nests. Oh, and the 8-legged freaks have started emerging from their holes in the Missouri Ozarks. That last one is not one of the things I love about this time of year, but it's happening now.

This is a Texas Brown Tarantula that was just spotted a few days ago in the Missouri Ozarks

He said (and I quote) "these things aren't something you want to mess with". Really? You think? The truth is that Texas Brown Tarantulas aren't normally aggressive toward humans unless they become frightened. Note to self: Do NOT frighten a tarantula.
