Farmer’s Almanac Says Missouri’s Fall Will Be Different

The one thing you can count on when it comes to weather in Missouri is that you can expect to be surprised often. That appears to be true about the upcoming Fall season as Farmer's Almanac is predicting that the pattern for Missouri will be different from previous years.

According to the "old" Farmer's Almanac, Missouri's Fall will be unusually dry. They have just shared their new Fall 2026 Weather Outlook and there are two different stories for what they expect in Missouri. The northern half of Missouri is expected to be warmer than usual, but very dry. The southern half of the state is expected to be cooler than usual, but also very dry. Isn't that odd considering that southern Missouri tends to be warmer? The consensus for Missouri according to Farmer's Almanac is that there will not be nearly as much rainfall as you'd typically see in Missouri during the Fall months.

I have many friends and family who are farmers who will likely be delighted that rainfall won't keep them from getting into their fields for the harvest, but a happy medium would be nice since Missouri has just recovered recently from terrible drought so a dry Fall may not be the best news if a dry winter follows, too. That's the thing about weather in Missouri. If you don't like it, wait 10 minutes and it will change.
