Missouri’s 14 Most Haunted Places and the Stories Behind Them

I will admit that I haven't counted the number of haunted houses in other states, but it seems like Missouri has more than its fair share. There are more than a dozen that are the frequent destinations for ghost hunters as they are considered the most haunted in the state.

Do you believe that ghosts are real?

As we have this imaginary conversation, I obviously can't hear what your answer is, but I'll put mine in writing. I believe the answer is yes and no. I'll clarify. I believe that there is a real phenomena happening in many of these locations, but I don't believe there really are ghosts. I am convinced there are deceiving entities that can be really dangerous. Feel free to roll your eyes, but I've had encounters with this darkness and it really is terrifying. It's funny until you experience it yourself. That's one reason why I always caution investigators to do your research and understand what you might be dealing with. There are too many documented encounters for haunted houses to just be figments of imaginations.
