No one saw this coming. There are confirmed reports that Starbucks has suddenly closed several Missouri locations and there was no warning beforehand that it was about to happen.

Restaurant Dive is among the sites reporting that Starbucks has just closed 250 underperforming stores. They didn't list the locations, but I have learned that several were in Missouri according to the website Starbucks Everywhere. They say these Missouri Starbucks just closed their doors forever a few days ago on September 26, 2026:

Starbucks - Perryville — 1111 S. Perryville Blvd.

Why did Starbucks close these Missouri locations?

The company said in a statement they closed locations that “do not deliver the coffeehouse experience and financial performance expected of the brand.” There's no word if any other Starbucks locations will close in the near future or if this is just a seasonal streamlining of their business. If we learn of new Starbucks closures, they will be added to this list.
