Let's hope this scenario remains science fiction and/or the plot line for made-for-TV movies. A new video theorizes why Missouri would be one of the first prime targets if the Russians ever decided to try and take us out with nukes. Let's explore why.

This very recent video from The Infographics Channel on YouTube shows an almost comical representation of what would happen if everyone's worst-case scenario one day comes true. Here's why they said they come up with this:

Things aren't going well for Putin and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and as Russia is continually pushed back and embarrassed, they might resort to more desperate counter-attacks that could change everything! Check out today's epic new video to find out what would happen if Russia unleashed its full nuclear arsenal.

Guess who would be one of the first places to glow in the dark if their theories are accurate? That's right. Missouri.

The map they showed comes from FEMA. Let's zoom in on the Missouri part.

Missouri would be high on any enemy's potential target list for several reasons. First, you have Whiteman Air Force Base which is home to the United States stealth bombers and Fort Leonard Wood. Note that the purple triangles show targets in a limited 500 warhead strike while the black dots are areas hit in a massive 2,000 warhead attack. Even in the limited 500 warhead scenario, Missouri would be hit with at least a half dozen nukes to try and eliminate armed forces and bombers and missile/weapon supply depots.

Don't laugh, Chicago. Their simulation shows that the Windy City would likely glow in the dark even in a miniscule 3 city attack on major metros.

The sad bottom line to all this is any nuclear attack scenario would change life as we know it forever. Back to my original thought. Let's hope that The Infographics Show simulation never ever becomes real.
