According to WalletHub, Kansas City, Missouri is one of the lowest-rated big cities in the country for singles in 2023. Kansas City ranked 125th on the list of the best and worst cities for singles this year according to WalletHub, and this is out of the top 182 cities in the US.

How did they come up with the list?

On their site, WalletHub says...

"...nearly 47% of the U.S. adult population is unmarried (never married, divorced, or widowed)...To help America’s singles find love, WalletHub compared more than 182 U.S. cities across 35 key indicators of dating-friendliness. Our data set ranges from the share of the population that is single to the number of online dating opportunities to the average price for a two-person meal."

Kansas City struggles in the Dating Opportunities category being ranked 137th, that category consists of metrics like Share of Singles, Online Dating opportunities, and so on.

How does Kansas City compare?

Since Kansas City is low on the list you might expect the same from its cross-state sister city St. Louis, but actually, St. Louis is ranked 28th on the list!
