Illinois is home to so many incredible things to do if you come here on a vacation, so why did Fox News say the #1 stop you should make on your Illinois vacation is a museum? And, which museum is it?

According to Fox News' article titled, 10 Stops to Make on Your Trip around Illinois, the number one stop you should make is to.......The Art Institute of Chicago. The Art Institute topped the list ahead of things like Millenium Park, Starved Rock State Park, the Magnificent Mile, and Wrigley Field. So why does Fox News say it belongs at the top of the list? In the article, they say...

"You can find the Art Institute of Chicago in downtown Chicago. The museum was first founded in 1879 and is a major museum of the world. There are numerous permanent and rotating exhibits at the art institute. Check its website to find out what exhibits will be on display during your trip."

As a man who has lived in Illinois his whole life, and had lived in Chicago for years, I will say this list is close...but not perfect. The Art Institute is TERRIFIC but does it belong at the #1 spot? Personally, I like the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago as the number 1 museum in the state, and I would put the Field Museum ahead of the Art Institute as well. Also, I would say walking the Riverwalk, seeing Millenium Park, walking Navy Pier, and walking the Magnificient Mile, are all things I would recommend people do on their trip to Chicago before I would say "Go to the Art Institute."

What is the number #1 thing to do in the Land of Lincoln in your opinion?
