Illinois, Missouri and Iowa have Some Strange Town Names

For four years I drove from South Kansas City to Harrisonville, Missouri to go to work. Every day I would pass by the exit ramp to the town of Peculiar, Missouri. Inevitably, there would be a car pulled over by the side of the highway with people taking a picture of the sign that said 'Peculiar Exit'. You have to admit, it is a unique name for a town. Thinking back to those days got me to think bout some of the "different" named towns there are in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. I am sure there are plenty of others, but here is the list I came up with. Feel free to add to the list.

ILLINOIS:

Goofy Ridge
