Illinois Now Suddenly 1 of the Top States for Bigfoot Sightings
If you'd love to see one of the most legendary creatures in America, you should come to Illinois where Bigfoot sightings are skyrocketing as the state now ranks as one of the most likely places to see a Sasquatch.
This new ranking of Bigfoot sightings was put together by Bet Ohio who used data from the Bigfoot Researchers Organization website showing where the most sightings of this mythical creature are. Illinois is ranked as the #5 state in America now for Bigfoot sightings which is a big move upward from where it's been ranked in the past. The new ranking says you have an 8.7% chance of seeing Sasquatch in Illinois.
How many Bigfoot sightings have there been in Illinois over the years?
The Bigfoot Researchers Organization shows that there have now been 304 sightings of this creature in Illinois.
What's interesting about Bigfoot sightings in Illinois is the reports are not limited to the Shawnee National Forest area in the southern part of the state, but even in areas not that far from Chicago.
It's odd to me that Bigfoot sightings which began in the Pacific Northwest would now become so common in a place like Illinois. But, when you think about it, the majority of the state is now rural areas and forests and there are many rivers that are found throughout the state, too. If a creature like this is going to exist, Illinois has all the ingredients to make a habitat possible.
