Starting on Wednesday, May 6th, both Hy-Vee stores in Quincy will be limiting customers meat purchases.

Due to worker shortages at plants and an increase in meat sales with more people staying on home, Hy-Vee announced that their customers will be limited to meat purchases. What does that mean for you? In a press releaset Hy-Vee sent out today,

customers will be limited to four packages of a combination of fresh beef, ground beef, pork and chicken when they checkout at all Hy-Vee locations.

This new change will start tomorrow and will be implemented in all Hy-Vee store locations.

I know I try to stock up when I can when items are on sale, but for some people they shop week to week and will affect what they will be cooking. Hopefully this will not last long and we will be back to a normal way of buying items, but for now with work shortages and high demand this is the way it will be.
