The rapid antibody test will be available for patients who wish to know if they have been previously infected with COVID-19. The rapid antibody test does not show if a patient has a current infection, because it can take 1-3 weeks after infection to make antibodies. Results of the test will be available the same day the test is done, usually takes about 15 minutes to get the results. The test uses a finger stick to collect a small blood sample, which is administered by a trained Hy-Vee Pharmacy team member.

If you are interested in taking the antibody test, you must register ahead of time through hy-vee.com/covidtesting and select “antibody test” to schedule time and location. Tests will be administered inside the Hy-Vee Pharmacy, and will costs $25 and may be purchased with any form of payment, including health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA). Patients will pay for their test when they arrive at the designated pharmacy.

Both the Hy-Vee's in Quincy (Broadway and Harrison) will be testing for antibodies. I have always wondered if I have had COVID and just didn't know it and didn't show any symptoms. If you are also wondering if you've ever had COVID, this would be a way to find out and you get the results back pretty quickly.
