It sounds greedy, but I'd love to have my own Missouri island. Probably not realistic for me, but a definite possibility for you assuming you have the means to get it.

The Missouri island find happened when I was looking for something else completely unrelated. This is Hawk Island located in Lake of the Ozarks across from Tan-Tar-A resort.

I found these juicy details on the Evergreen Real Estate website describing this Missouri island paradise:

Set on one of the largest man-made lakes in North America, Lake of the Ozarks, this Private Island located at the 26 Mile Marker, boasts nearly one-half mile of pristine shoreline. This beautiful lake is made up of 54,000 acres and has more than 1,150 miles of shoreline. Osage Beach and Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Resort are mainland neighbors and only a kayak ride away.

I'm no HGTV Property Brother (apologies to my wife), but this would seem to be some pretty prime real estate for business and/or pleasure. It looks like there are 3 different land possibilities based on the map shared on the listing website.

Based on the date of the YouTube share, it looks like this island has been on the market for years. I'm shocked that no dreamer has turned this into either an exotic private Ozark home and/or vacation destination. Oh, the possibilities...

If you have an idea of what you would do if you were king/queen of a Missouri island, check out the full details on the real estate listing website. Maybe you could have your own Missouri version of Survivor and vote your neighbors off the island. Just a thought.
