The weather is going to be perfect this weekend, so there's really no excuse to stay in and miss out on this year's ARTfest at the Quincy Arts Center.

Starting at noon on Saturday, this free event is all about fun, family, and of course art. There will be plenty of things to see and do for the whole family; everything from animal mask and bowtie making Q-Rocks painting and so much more. There are a few things that will require a few bucks out of pocket including the paint your own pottery options (my favorite), mini canvas painting, and something called "raku painting" (I am very curious to know what this is).

There will be food, beverages (even adult drinks), and shaved ice among other concessions. The festival kicks off at noon and goes until 5:00 pm. There will also be festival games and entertainment throughout the afternoon.

If you're not familiar with the Arts Center, this is a perfect opportunity to see what it's all about So stop by, take a tour of the facility, check out some amazing art, and maybe make something of your own.

I took my kids last year and they had a great time, made some fantastic art, and burned off some energy. And if you can't make it this year, save the date for next year. ARTfest is always the third Saturday in September.
