A select group of northeast Missouri high school students will graduate in style in 2019. For the first time, the Hannibal Career and Technology Center is offering cosmetology classes. The students who pass the two classes offered and the state board exams will be licensed and ready to work on graduation day.

The HCTC held a ribbon cutting ceremony this week for the new studio. The lessons include all things cosmetology: cut, color, perms, waxing, mani/pedis and more. The classes are available to the seven area schools that the HCTC serves.

In Cosmetology I, students will earn the 160 hours of training necessary to move on to Cosmetology II. In that session, the public will be able to come to the school for actual cosmetology services from the students, supervised by their instructor Sarah Wittland. The first clients should be booked by January or February.
