If you think gangs are restricted to their state of origin, think again. There's ample evidence that Texas gangs have already brought their violence into Missouri and the worst is likely yet to come.

Just days ago, the O'Fallon Police Department shared details with Fox 2 in St. Louis about suspected gang members from Texas that were spotted robbing an ATM in the St. Louis, Missouri area.

This is not a new problem, but one that dates back at least one year when yet another report said suspected Texas gang members were knocking off Missouri ATM's.

Yahoo News reported that this purported gang that committed the 'jugging' robbery of the O'Fallon, Missouri ATM hailed from Houston, Texas.

There is yet another Texas gang connection to Missouri. The Office of Public Affairs from the US Department of Justice announced one year ago they sentenced a Missouri man who was a member of Aryan Circle in Texas that they characterized as a "violent, race-based, and prison-based gang with hundreds of members operating inside and outside of state and federal prisons throughout the country".

Decades ago, I had a radio colleague who had escaped from a gang that had connections on the west coast and also the south. He told me at the time that he knew for a fact that their reach often extended into the Midwest. These cases of Missouri's connection to Texas gangs are just the tip of a very bad iceberg.
