It's almost like a snapshot of summer just sitting there left to decay. What used to be an Illinois summer camp is now abandoned with toys, movies and even a canoe left behind.

This is another in the ongoing trend of urban exploration of now-vacant locales with items left behind some of which is baffling. Here's how the explorers described their adventure:

In today's video, Vato & Me are exploring an Abandoned Summer Camp that closed a few years ago. All the equipment, toys, movies, artwork, and so much more was left behind.

There's no mention of specific location other than it's in Illinois which is probably for the better to avoid vandals destroying what's left.

I can understand leaving behind a table or two, but a canoe and floating innertubes? Really?

I would guess that there's a kid somewhere who would be missing all of these movies.

I'd be even more concerned about what looks like personal information about the kids that visited there with pictures remaining for any and all wanderers to find.

I have to wonder if this summer camp had to be vacated quickly perhaps due to the pandemic beginning a couple years ago? Surely there has to be some kind of rational explanation why a recreational place like this would be left with items that could easily be used by someone.
