The 2019 Dogwood Festival weekend is upon us and the theme for this year’s Adams Fiber/Blessing Health System Dogwood Parade is “Community Connections.”  Over 100 entries are singed up to be in this year’s parade with many using the theme to show how their businesses and organizations are connected to Quincy and connected to the world as well. However, the Parade, which is organized by the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce, is not the only event during this weekend’s festival.

New events include family-friendly block parties at St. James Lutheran Church and The Good Samaritan Home, both on Friday night and the Human Foosball Tournament put on by the Mid-American Military Salute on Saturday.

Other events include the Little King and Queen Pageant, which will be held at the Quincy Mall tonight (Thursday),  ABWA Dogwood Dance,  Quincy Preserves’ Spring Home Tour, and the Renovation Concert Series at Washington Theater.
