Downtown Quincy Bar Closes Abruptly (And Quickly)
Well, that was fast.
As in like... five months. Less than, because it didn't open right when Martini 515 closed. The Wooden Rabbit is no more. It has ceased to be. It is an ex bar. And it came without warning.
All of a sudden it was just *poof* gone. Signs taken down. The Facebook page has disappeared. It's like Thanos snapped his fingers and all of a sudden The Wooden Rabbit didn't feel so good, Mr. Stark. What happened to it? Where did it go? Will it return? What will go in its place? These are all questions that I don't know the answer to.
Full confession, I had only been there a handful of times. It was a perfectly fine bar, with some classy cocktails. But it wasn't exactly my scene, my vibe. I liked it, but it wasn't a place I made a habit of going to. So much like Martini, I was part of the problem.
Maybe the next bar to occupy that space will garner more of a regular crowd. Or maybe the Fuzzy Bubbler could knock down a wall and expand. I do like the Bubbler. I hope that place sticks around for a good long while.
