Many take it for granted that living life requires a vehicle, yet some don't. If you either don't have a car or would like to do without one, there's a Missouri city that has been ranked as one of the best places in America to live.

I saw this conversation and share on the Missouri sub-Reddit. It was a video talking about the best cities in America to live in if you either don't have a vehicle or don't want to rely on one.

If you venture to around the 11:45 mark, you'll see the top two cities to live if you don't have a car or both in Missouri.

What cities in Missouri dominate the best cities to live in if you don't have a car list?

St. Louis comes in at #2 on his analysis and the #1 city if you don't have a car is...(*drum roll*)...Columbia, Missouri.

Why did these two Missouri cities get ranked so high for pedestrians? The "walk rating" for both is sky-high with a lot of work destinations and services quite literally within walking distance where wheels are not required to live.

Note: if I were you, maybe don't walk in some parts of St. Louis at night?

I would concur about Columbia. The campus of Mizzou in particular really does have about everything you need relatively close.

Living life purely as a pedestrian isn't for everyone, but this is certainly a money saver when you factor in car payments and fuel to a life without either.
