If you’ve driven around Quincy you might start seeing lots more of the yard waste bags as leaves start to fall. If you have yard waste picked up, the season will soon be coming to an end.

I feel like I bag more and more leaves each year, so I am so grateful for the yard waste service that is available in Quincy. If you use this service as I do, you better hope that all the leaves fall before December 17, that is when the home-to-home pick-up will end for Quincy residents for the season. It will pick back up again in the spring.

Evans Reccyelking will begin their winter hours starting December 18. You will still be able to bring any yard waste to the Evans Recycling Center located at 711 Radio Road, but their hours will soon be changing. Their winter hours will be Monday - Friday from 8 am until 5 pm, Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm. and closed on Sundays.

I have so many trees in my neighborhood, and it seems all my neighbor's tree leaves come into my yard. I know there are many people in Quincy that are appreciative of this free service, it's one less thing we have to worry about as homeowners. My record for yard waste bags is 36, so if anyone wants to help by all means. Just make sure you B.Y.O.R (brings your own rake).
