Aldi in Illinois Has Recalled a Coffee Maker Due to Burn Hazard

Many consider coffee so important that they think it should have its own food group. If coffee is your way of life and you have a certain coffee maker from Aldi, you should know there's an urgent recall due to a serious burn hazard.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a bulletin this week for a coffee maker from Aldi in Illinois. It's the Ambiano Single Serve Coffee Makers and there were around 28,000 sold. The alert says that anyone with this coffee maker should stop using it immediately.

This coffee maker was available in 4 different colors and all are affected by this recall. The bulletin says that if you have this coffee maker, return it to the Aldi store you bought it from for a full refund.

This recall is so urgent that Aldi is offering a $75 gift card if you use their online portal and upload a picture of the coffee maker with a cut cord. That's one way to guarantee that it is no longer being used.

There have been injuries reported with this coffee maker due to hot water expelling from the top of the unit. Aldi in Illinois says in the alert that they've received 25 reports including 3 that have resulted in burns.
