Few states have a reputation for places with questionable pasts more than Illinois. Many believe that buildings across the state where bad things have happened still contain that negative energy. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. What I am certain of is that there are ten locations in Illinois that have gained fame for haunted encounters many have experienced.

Over the years, I've lived in Illinois many times. Nearly 40 years ago, I rented a very old home in Illinois and I swear that I'd hear noises at night that I could not explain. I'm familiar with "old house noises" and have heard them explained away as foundations settling or any number of conventional phenomena. Nothing I heard sounded like that. Is it possible my mind was playing tricks on me? Sure. However, I've had a few encounters that I am certain were with evil entities. I've gone into details in the past that I will spare you now.
